weir_catalogControl
Start / stop / clear / inspect the catalog batch. action:"start" catalogs un-cataloged non-archived items (paced, runs in the page) — optionally SCOPED to one feed/folder/type via feed|category|type (omit all → whole corpus); "stop" cancels; "clear" discards ALL cards + un-files every item (items/content/reading state untouched; reversible by re-cataloging) for a clean restart; "status" (default) reports running state, progress {total, done, failed}, and cataloged/total counts. start returns {running, todo, deferred}.

Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
action |
string | no | Default: status |
feed |
string | no | start scope: a source by id OR display name (e.g. "Saved Links") |
category |
string | no | start scope: a folder name ("" = ungrouped) |
type |
string | no | start scope: item type (article|video|paper|…) |
recatalog |
boolean | no | with action:start + a scope: discard that scope's cataloger-generated cards and re-catalog from scratch (re-do a batch cataloged under an old rule). SAFE-BY-DEFAULT: hand-authored / human-reviewed cards (a `reviewer` stamp) are PRESERVED — only regenerable cataloger cards are redone — so it can't silently destroy authored curation (the cataloger abstains on thin/metadata-only items like book holdings, which would have nothing to regenerate them). Returns `preserved` (count kept). |
includeAuthored |
boolean | no | with recatalog: ALSO redo hand-authored / human-reviewed cards in scope (default false → they're preserved). Use only when you want authored cards re-derived — e.g. body text has since arrived and the body-fed cards beat the hand facets. |
