cad.align_parts
Line parts up after they are already roughly placed (usually after assemble). center = match centers on an axis. flush = push parts so they share the same outer face on that axis. distribute = keep outermost centers fixed and space the middle parts evenly along one axis (needs 3+; no referencePartId). rotation = copy the reference world orientation onto the movers (center stays put; axis selects which Euler components to match, default xyz = full orientation). Pick which parts move with partIds, and which stays put with referencePartId (center/flush/rotation only).

Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
mode |
string | yes | center = share the same center on the axis. flush = share the same outer side on the axis. distribute = even spacing between outermost centers (3+ parts). rotation = match the reference orientation (full or per-axis). |
partIds |
array | yes | Parts that should move into alignment (or be redistributed for distribute). |
referencePartId |
string | no | Part that stays fixed for center/flush/rotation. Unused for distribute (outermost on the axis stay fixed). Defaults to the first partIds entry if omitted. |
axis |
string | yes | CAD axis to align on. Use x/y/z for one axis, or xz to center in the build-plane. For mode=rotation, x/y/z/xyz selects which orientation components to match (default xyz). |
direction |
string | no | Only for flush: which side of the reference to flush against. |
