Tool inspector
cad.add_connector
Place a mechanical connector. Complete hardware (hinge, pin-hinge, thread, twist-lock) can omit targetPartId and sit on the plate as its own part. Face features (holes, snaps, studs) still need a host part and usually a face.

| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
targetPartId |
string | no | Stable ID of the part to inspect or modify. |
connectorType |
string | yes | Ready mechanical Connect-tool kind. Legacy snap-male / snap-female aliases map to snap-tab / snap-slot. |
connectorSizeMm |
number | no | Feature size in millimeters. |
face |
string | no | Host face label (Top/Bottom/Front/Back/Left/Right, Face N, or interior:*). |
type |
string | no | Legacy alias for connectorType. |
sizeMm |
number | no | Legacy alias for connectorSizeMm. |
studsX |
