Register who is in the film so shots can be found by character later: "the Margot close-up" resolves because the cast index knows Margot is the baker. Each entry is a name plus a short descriptor of the role, and aliases are derived from both. Write it right after write_script, using the same names the prompts use. Replaces the whole cast each time, so send everyone at once.
