get_view_image
Look at the space to check what was built. Left empty it draws exactly the user’s current view: 2D or 3D, the same floor area, level or whole building, style and theme, and in 3D their own camera. Choose another with dimension, scope, planLayout, floor, structure, mode, theme and, in 3D, camera: a named view (top, north … north-west, default), or azimuth (compass bearing, clockwise from north: the plan’s top) and elevation, a focus part or point, a distance. viewpoint draws a view the user or an agent saved by name (get_space.view.viewpoints); the result’s viewpoint is this picture’s view, to keep it by name with set_space_view.saveViewpoint. time draws a moment of the latest process run in 3D, as its playback shows it (agents and their loads, equipment and store states, lift cars; heatmap shades where agents stood), to check a run by eye; the user’s current view shows it when they are playing that run back. labels tags zone names (one floor area) or floor area names (a building). 2D is the scaled drawing the Export menu saves: outline and dimensions, zone names with their areas, an area table, scale bar, optional north arrow and a title block with the date and the space hash; format=svg returns its SVG text to keep, in svg. A picture comes back as image content, PNG unless jpeg or webp is asked, within the 1 MB agent-link limit: a larger PNG is sent as JPEG and then made smaller, and image.adjustments says so. The result says what was drawn and from where, and spaceHash names the model version shown (as get_space.building.spaceHash). Drawn off screen from a snapshot: the editor’s view, selection and Undo history do not change. Read-only; free; no AI call.

Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
viewpoint |
string | no | Draw a named view (its id or name from get_space.view.viewpoints) as it was saved: its floor area, 2D or 3D, scope, layout, building shown and camera. It sets those itself: leave out dimension, scope, planLayout, floor, structure and camera. Style, theme, size and format still apply. |
dimension |
string | no | 2d: a scaled plan drawing; 3d: a picture of the model. Every field left out keeps the user’s current view. |
scope |
string | no | floor: one floor area; building: the whole building in 3D, or a level / every level in 2D (planLayout). floor when `floor` is given, building when `structure` is. |
planLayout |
string | no | 2D with scope=building: every level on one sheet, or the level of `floor` with its floor areas side by side. |
floor |
string | no | Floor area to draw (scope=floor), or whose level to draw (level layout); the active one when left out. The editor does not switch. |
structure |
string | no | Only this building of the site (get_space.building.structures), for scope=building. |
mode |
string | no | 3D rendering style; 2D drawings always use filled plans. |
spread |
number | no | 3D whole building: metres added between one level and the next, so each storey's plan, its voids and what stands where show one above another (an exploded view); connections stretch to match. 0 (default) draws the floors where they are. Not with time. |
theme |
string | no | Colour palette ID from get_space capabilities.themes. |
showOverhead |
boolean | no | 3D: false leaves out roofs and what hangs overhead (raised 1.8 m or more, or tagged roof or ceiling) to see inside; the current view decides when left out. |
camera |
object | no | 3D only. Left out: the user’s camera when drawing their current view, else the default view fitted to what is drawn. |
time |
— | no | 3D: draw the latest process run (run_process_scenario) at this moment, in seconds from its start, as its playback shows it: agents and what they carry, equipment and store states, lift cars. "current" is the playback time on screen. Left out, a picture of the user’s current view shows that run when they are playing it back; any other picture shows the layout alone. The run must be of the current layout. |
heatmap |
string | no | With time: shade the floors drawn by how many agents stood there over the run (mean or peak), as playback’s heatmap does. |
caption |
boolean | no | The title band along the bottom (project, what the picture shows, space version). false: the picture takes the whole width x height with no text of ours on it, for a slide, a page or a video frame of your own. The description that comes back still says what was drawn. |
stateTags |
boolean | no | 3D with time: tag equipment with its state in words ("Working 1/2 · 3 waiting"). false leaves the words out; each part keeps its state colour and a dot. |
labels |
boolean | no | 3D: tag zone names (one floor area) or floor area names (building). 2D drawings always name zones. |
format |
string | no | png, jpeg or webp comes back as an image; svg (2D only) as the drawing’s SVG text to save. Over the 1 MB link limit a PNG is sent as JPEG, then made smaller, and the result says so. |
width |
integer | no | Pixels; 1600 for 2D, 1280 for 3D when left out. |
height |
integer | no | Pixels; 800 for 3D, the sheet’s proportions for 2D when left out. |
quality |
number | no | JPEG and WebP quality. |
paper |
string | no | 2D: sheet size; the scale is the largest standard one that fits. |
north |
number | no | 2D: draw a north arrow pointing this many degrees clockwise from the top of the sheet. The model stores no true north: leave it out for none. |
dimensions |
boolean | no | 2D floor area or level sheets: also dimension inside the plan, the clear width of aisles between parts (up to 3 m, narrowest first) and each rectangular zone’s sides, where the figures fit. The result lists the aisles in drawing.aisles. |
underlay |
boolean | no | 2D: draw the floor areas’ visible underlay pictures under the model, to compare them (on by default for png, jpeg and webp; off for svg, where the picture would be embedded). 3D pictures never show them. |
