set_controller_gains
Set one or more PID gains on the live page and immediately return the full resulting design report: the new gains, stability, every step-response metric, both stability margins, the closed-loop poles and the spec verdict. Because the post-change metrics come back with the change, one call is enough per tuning iteration. Any parameter left out keeps its current value, so a single gain can be adjusted on its own. The plots on the page redraw as this is applied.
Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
Kp |
number | no | Proportional gain. Raising it speeds up the response and reduces steady-state error, at the cost of more overshoot and less phase margin. Clamped to [-1000, 1000]. Omit to leave unchanged. |
Ki |
number | no | Integral gain, in units of 1/s. Any non-zero value drives the steady-state error for a step reference to zero, but adds phase lag and so tends to increase overshoot. Clamped to [-1000, 1000]. Omit to leave unchanged. |
Kd |
number | no | Derivative gain, in seconds. Adds phase lead, which damps overshoot and increases phase margin, but amplifies high-frequency content. Clamped to [-1000, 1000]. Omit to leave unchanged. |
N |
number | no | Derivative filter pole in rad/s, which makes the derivative term realizable: the term is Kd*N*s/(s+N). Larger N approaches an ideal derivative. Clamped to [1, 10000], default 100. Omit to leave unchanged. |
