set_item_elevation

Set how high a placed item’s base sits above the floor (meters) through the same store action as the UI: raise TVs, wall art, shelves, and curtains to hang them instead of resting on the floor. y=0 puts the piece back on the floor. Locked items may be raised (like move/rotate); negative or non-finite heights fail with invalid_elevation. The layout refreshes immediately, so a piece whose top crosses the ceiling surfaces as a height_bounds error. Moving the piece later keeps its height. Returns the item with its updated position, refreshed pricing (newTotal, budget, remaining, overBudget), and current layout validity and issues. Unknown instances fail with item_not_found.
