acad_set_block_layer

Choose the AutoCAD layer generated blocks are inserted onto. Call this BEFORE acad_generate_block whenever the user names a layer ('generate a bed and put it in layer 3'), and again later if they ask to move the block to a different layer. Generates nothing and costs nothing. Follow its reply exactly: it either confirms the layer and tells you to go ahead, or gives you a question and the options to offer — a named layer very often does not exist under quite that spelling, and only the user can say what they meant. Do not call acad_generate_block until it has confirmed a layer, and once it has, do not call this again for the same layer: refinements of the same block keep it automatically.
