Turn shots you picked into an edit list — to render here, or to hand to software off this machine. Resolves each file to the URL its bytes actually live at and checks the numbers, so a bad supercut fails here, in one call, instead of after three features have been fetched. `format` decides who the list is for: `json` for `node scripts/cut.mjs .json out.mp4`, `edl` or `otio` for an editor — Blender, Resolve, Premiere and Nuke all import one of those, and an OTIO clip carries the source URL, so the timeline resolves with nothing downloaded. Hand the text straight to whatever desktop tool you also have open. Marks the open film's shots on its timeline so the person can see the cut before it is rendered.
Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
shots |
array | yes | The cuts, in the order they should play |
format |
string | no | Who the list is for. `json` (default) renders with scripts/cut.mjs. `edl` is CMX3600, which every NLE imports. `otio` is OpenTimelineIO — JSON, and each clip carries its source URL, so it is the one to hand another tool or an agent. |
title |
string | no | What to call the timeline, for edl/otio |
