piece_sheet
Add a grid image to this canvas as separate pieces, one per cell. The image pixels are passed to a FastCut iframe on a separate Needle-hosted origin for background removal; this tool does not publish the play. Use 'actors' for movable characters and cut-out scenery. 'backgrounds' is retained for legacy sheets; new scenes have no backdrop panel. Pass labels in reading order to name the pieces. For large sheets, upload the raw image to POST /api/sheets first and pass its short URL here; avoid putting multi-megabyte base64 data in a tool argument.

Input schema
| Property | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
url |
string | yes | Image URL: http(s), a small data:image/ URL, or /api/sheets/<id>. For a large PNG/WebP, POST its raw bytes to /api/sheets (5 MB maximum) and use the returned URL within two hours. Other origins must allow CORS so the image can be cut. |
columns |
number | yes | Cells across. |
rows |
number | yes | Cells down. |
as |
string | yes | What is on it. 'actors' is for anything that stands on a stage — use it for scenery too, since a tree is cut out exactly as a person is. 'backgrounds' is a legacy import mode and is not used by stage_create in new plays. |
labels |
array | no | What each cell is, in reading order — left to right, then down. |
