Verify whether a specific color conforms to one of the gallery’s palettes (instruments). Give a `hex` color and a `palette` (name or instrument id, e.g. "after hours", "salt room", or "001"). Returns whether the color is in-palette and, if not, the nearest expected token and its value — real drift, computed locally in the page with no round-trip.
