search_gear

Search the Fieldward gear library by free-text query. Matches gear name, description, and tags (e.g. 'waterproof boots', 'ultralight tent'). Returns gear with id, name, price, category, tags, and availability. Ground the query in the trip brief (get_trip_brief): a winter-backpacking trip means terms like 'winter-rated' and 'waterproof' belong in the query, and prefer picks under the stated budget.
