Almost 6,000 MCP servers — the catalog just became impossible to ignore

In June we celebrated 1,500+ MCP servers. Less than two months later, Influzer.ai’s aggregated directory is sitting just under 6,000 listings — with thousands of indexed tools across 12 categories.

That is not a vanity scrape. The catalog still merges Glama, Smithery, community lists, and manually reviewed submissions; it still re-validates live tools/list data daily where endpoints allow; and it still ranks the Top 100 as a tools-first starting point for agents and humans.

What 6,000 actually means:

• The long tail is no longer a footnote — niche databases, browsers, SaaS connectors, and memory servers are first-class search results
• “Build another wrapper” loses more often to “search the registry first”
• Tool indexing matters more than star count — agents call capabilities, not README fame

We are treating the crossing as a community milestone, not a finish line. Weekly registry syncs keep adding servers. Community submissions fill gaps registries miss. Live probes keep tool lists honest.
